Terms of Service
Last updated: October 14, 2026
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Base015 website and client portal, including online booking, agreements, payments, file delivery, and related services (together, the "Services"). The Services are operated by Base015 LLC ("Base015," "we," "us," "our").
By using the Services, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, please don't use the Services.
1. Your signed agreement comes first
When you book a shoot day, accept a proposal, or start a retainer, you sign a service agreement (the "Agreement"). The Agreement sets out your scope, price, payment schedule, and deliverables. If anything in these Terms conflicts with your Agreement, the Agreement controls.
2. What we do
Base015 provides video production, video ads, and content for businesses. We don't run or manage ad campaigns; you run your own ads (see section 11). We may use trusted subcontractors to deliver parts of the Services. Base015 remains responsible to you for the Services we agree to provide.
3. Accounts and portal access
- You'll receive a sign-in link by email when you book. Keep your email account secure — anyone with access to it can sign in to your portal.
- You're responsible for activity under your account and for keeping your contact information current.
- Don't share your portal access, attempt to access other clients' information, interfere with the Services, or use them for anything unlawful.
4. Booking
- Prices shown at checkout come from our current price list. The price in your signed Agreement is the price you pay.
- Every shoot day needs at least one Ad Batch.
- A shoot date is confirmed only once we confirm it in writing. We aim to confirm one of your preferred dates within 48 hours of your request.
- Shoots outside our local service area include a travel fee, shown before you sign.
5. Payments
- Unless your Agreement says otherwise, payment is split 50/50: a deposit to book, and the balance due 7 days after we share watermarked previews for your review.
- Payments are processed by Stripe. We never see or store your full bank account or card numbers.
- Bank (ACH) payments can take several business days to clear. Your project may show "payment pending" until they do.
- If a payment fails or is reversed, work and file delivery may pause until it's resolved.
- Retainers bill monthly from your start date, include the minimum term stated in your Agreement, and continue until cancelled as described there.
6. Refunds
- If we can't confirm a shoot date, we refund your deposit in full.
- If you cancel more than 7 days before your confirmed shoot date, we refund your deposit minus Stripe's processing fees (Stripe keeps its fee on refunds).
- Within 7 days of your confirmed shoot date, the deposit is non-refundable.
- If weather, illness, equipment failure, or another event outside either side's control prevents a confirmed shoot and we can't agree on a new date within 60 days, you may cancel and we refund what you paid for work not yet performed.
- Retainers: after the 3-month minimum term, cancel with 30 days' written notice to hello@base015.com; the retainer ends at the end of the notice period. If you end a retainer during the minimum term, the remaining months of the minimum term are due.
7. Scheduling, cancellations, and no-shows
- We aim to confirm one of your preferred dates within 48 hours of your request.
- Rescheduling with less than 24 hours' notice, or not showing up, incurs a $300 fee. Cancelling within 7 days of your confirmed shoot date forfeits the deposit instead (see section 6), so you're never charged both.
- If weather, illness, equipment failure, or another event outside either side's control prevents a confirmed shoot, we reschedule to the next date that works for both of us at no cost.
- On shoot day, you're responsible for providing the people, location access, and a prompt start. If delays on your side shorten the shoot, there is no make-up day, and the deliverable is what we filmed. Additional production days can be booked separately.
8. Delivery and revisions
- You'll first receive watermarked review versions in your portal. Clean, final files are released once the balance is paid.
- Your Agreement states how many rounds of revisions are included. Additional revisions or new direction after approval may be quoted separately.
- Raw footage and B-roll are not included unless your Agreement specifically says so. We archive project files for a limited time and aren't obligated to store them indefinitely.
9. Ownership and license
- Once paid in full, you receive a non-exclusive, worldwide, perpetual license to use the final delivered videos for any marketing or advertising purpose, on any platform. Your agencies and ad platforms may use them on your behalf.
- Base015 keeps ownership of raw footage, project files, and our methods and templates.
- Portfolio use: we may show delivered work in our portfolio and marketing. If you'd prefer we don't, tell us in writing and we'll keep your project private.
- You may not resell our work, sublicense it as stock, or transfer it separately from your business without written permission.
- If a payment is reversed or charged back, the license is suspended until the amount is paid.
10. Your content, claims, and locations
- You confirm that you have the rights and permissions for anything you provide or ask us to film — including logos, music you supply, locations, job sites, and the people who appear on camera — and that filming at those locations is allowed.
- You're responsible for the accuracy of the offers, prices, and claims in your ads, and for any disclosures your industry requires (for example, a contractor license number in advertising).
11. Running your ads
You run your own ads with the videos we deliver, in your own ad accounts. Base015 doesn't manage ad campaigns or ad accounts.
- You pay ad spend directly to the ad platforms (for example, Meta or Google). Base015 never holds, receives, or pays your ad budget. Our fees cover our services only.
12. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent allowed by law:
- The Services are provided "as is." We don't guarantee specific results, including leads, sales, views, or ad performance.
- We aren't liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, lost profits, or issues caused by third-party platforms (social media, ad platforms, hosting, or payment providers).
- Our total liability for any claim is limited to the fees you paid under the Agreement for the project or services giving rise to the claim.
13. Website content
Text, images, videos, branding, and code on our website and portal belong to Base015 and may not be copied without permission.
14. Messaging
By booking or contacting us, you agree to receive emails and messages about your project, scheduling, billing, and your account. Operational messages (like payment receipts or delivery notices) are part of providing the Services. You can opt out of marketing messages at any time. If you receive text messages from us, reply STOP to opt out or HELP for help. Message and data rates may apply.
15. Changes
We may update these Terms. The current version is always posted here with its date. Changes don't alter an Agreement you've already signed.
16. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California. Any dispute will be brought in the state courts located in Placer County, California, or the United States District Court for the Eastern District of California.
